Social: How to Control Yourself When Using A Credit Card

“People who recognize that money won’t buy happiness are still willing to see if credit cards will do the trick.” E. C. MCKENZIE, 1800 Quotes, Quips, and Squibs

One of the most used items I have is my credit card. Just like me, I really feel that there are people out there, especially the youngsters, who just cant’t control their impulsiveness, but I have changed. By simply being responsible with usage and doing the proper research to learn more about credit cards, anyone can safely and effectively use credit cards to their advantage.

Don’t fret, let me share my tips on how to keep myself in control whenever I use my credit card:

1. Keep your default spending limit

– There are times when you have something in your mind that you wanna buy and it costs more than your spending limit. It’s fine, just think that the item/product is not really meant for you – don’t buy and move on.

But if it’s something you really need and you only have your credit card, you can visit your bank and request for an increase. Once you get approved and you’re done with the bill, set it back to its original credit limit as it will surely prohibit you to spend more than what you earn.

2. Cash over card

– I always prefer to pay everything in cash over my credit card. It lessens my worry when the billing statement comes.

3. Note every transaction

– I am, sometimes, forgetful. So now, whenever I make purchases using my credit card, I always make sure to take note of it so I can keep on track.

4. Needs vs Wants

– Don’t spend and don’t use your credit card to purchase something you do not need. Weigh things and buy only the items that are important.

5. Spend within your means

– After making your list of the things you need, budget! Make sure not to spend more than your monthly salary, allowance and/or budget. Learn how to control yourself when spending and when using your card.

Well, all the things I have mentioned, by far, are very effective. At first, you might feel that struggle, but eventually, you will suddenly perceive that good change.

Give it a try and share your thoughts! 😊❤️

2. Perfume – You surely want to smell really good while commuting or even in the office. Everyday, I always make sure to wear my perfume whenever I leave the house and the office. And I alternately use Bvlgari Aqua Marine and CK One.

3. Earrings – I find earrings for men very trendy. It boosts confidence and it adds style to your OOTD. In any occasions, I use black round studs.

4. Credit Card – This is very useful in case of emergency. If you see the item you need in a shop or mall nearby and you find it expensive that you can’t afford to pay all at once, a credit card is ideal. Even if you don’t have the cash at hand, in this case, if the shop accepts credit cards, then use it and swipe. (For emergency cases only!)

5. Watch – The most important accessory ever!

I honestly value time and I hate it when I am late for work or in any meetings or rendezvous. This piece serves as my alarm clock and it’s apprently au courant. And now, everyone can go from grunge to sleek with a trendy watch from Technomarine. I will be getting mine soon!

Beauty: Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture Shampoo

Hair dying is one of my favorite hobbies. And recently, I’d just tried hair bleaching. I didn’t anticipate the effect like the frizziness, irritation and damage on my scalp and hair. What a nightmare, but thanks to the product that I just discovered.

I had my hair bleached two weeks ago in a salon near my area. I won’t give any details of the processes I’d undergone, but something really went wrong with my scalp and hair. Furthermore, I got so frustrated as it did not turn out the color I’ve asked for.

I went to S&R Pasay to get my membership card and to possibly buy a good shampoo and treatment for my hair. It was my first time inside the warehouse. I was strolling and strolling until I found something worth the try.

I bought the Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture. There were two Advanced Hair Series that time, the other one is the Pure Care Dry Oil, but this one really caught my attention. I am used to the white silky shampoo while this one is clear. Honestly, I was a bit unsure if this is solely for women, but no one has stopped me on buying this good item.

On the label, it says that it gently cleanses, gives bounce and natural volume. I feel that it might not be the perfect treatment for my damaged hair and scalp, but why not give it a try?! When I went home, I took a bath and tried it immediately. I applied it on my wet hair and rinse it after five minutes. To my surprise, I’ve seen great results. After rinsing and drying, my damaged scalp dried faster than what I thought and it broke up the existing dandruff flakes. I also felt that my hair became a bit healthier because of this.

I have been using it for days now and it still keeps me that satisfaction. And it only took 5 straight days to see the complete result. Everyday, it gives me that smooth, relaxed and healthy scalp and hair. Now, I just gained more confidence and have that worry-free moment.

As for the price, it ranges from 180.00 to 220.00 PHP (I totally forgot the price). Nevertheless, it is truly worthy and really a good treatment for any damaged and impaired hair and scalp just like their other products.

Go grab your Dove Advanced Hair Series Oxygen Moisture in supermarkets near you. Thanks, Dove!

Social: 10 Ways on How To Make Yourself Happy at Work

Issues and predicaments are tied up everytime we work. If you’re an office person, I am sure you often encounter the weekly horror story – Manic Mondays! But there are still things that can brighten up your workdays. ❤️

I have been a proud member of loving and friendly Telus International Philippines for almost two years, and it took me a little time to realize that to work with them can be exciting and fun. As I grow professionally, I get to discover the ways I should’ve done before with my previous BPO employers.

Here are my 10 Ways on How To Make Yourself Happy at Work:

1. Wear your best, yet comfortable attire – This will make you feel light while working. You don’t want to start your day sweating! If you can put a style on your outfit and flaunt it with right attitude, then that will surely attract good vibes. Just please make sure you’re still following the dress code policy of your company. 😊

2. Chat with your colleagues during break – It’s best that you chat with your officemates when you are on break or not busy. You can discuss future and friendship goals. Do this every workday with them and you’ll be able to build a tight camaraderie. It can also be a good reason to stay with your company.

3. Go shopping – There are lots of bills coming in every month, but it feels good when you get to save money and purchase a reward for yourself. After payday, save at least one day to go shopping. Don’t end the month without it.

4. Food spotting – I am pretty sure everyone does this always. Crave yourself for something sumptuous and a bit fatty (yes, fatty meals are the best) at least once a week or twice a month. Explore and taste great dishes. This will keep your mind, eyes and tummy really happy.

5. Travel the world – Plan your vacation and file a leave. This is a bit expensive, but this is something you will never regret. Budget travels are okay as long as it will give you the chance to disconnect from your stressed life. You have to gain experience and adventures at least twice a year.

6. Pay particular attention to good vibes – Most of the time, we are swamped with tasks and workloads. While you’re trying to accomplish it, try to think once in a while of your motivation and inspiration to, at least, ease the stress. But do not forget to work! 😜

7. Accept the challenges – Think of what Martin Luther King Jr. has quoted, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” Challenges are always there, especially at work. One of the best things you can do is to face it, then resolve it.

8. Love your job – There are people who want to be like you, a productive you. Don’t waste your time looking for another, just love it and the company will surely love you back.

9. Don’t skip your break – Don’t be a superhero! If you are out of focus or exhausted while working, then take your break. Discuss your feelings with your boss or colleagues and seek advices from them. This will regain your confidence and urge to work harder. 😉

10. Pray – Before you go to work and after the shift, spend a little time chatting with Him. Just thank and praise Him for all the blessings showered upon you.

There are still other things to make your workdays better. Always take note that there are still jobless people – be ecstatic and feel lucky because you have one.

“Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” – Confucius
