Stop Over: Bag of Beans – Tagaytay

Are you looking for the best restaurant in Tagaytay City? Let me introduce you the very famous Bag of Beans.

As we had a good adventure in Tagaytay, enjoying the rides in Sky Ranch and making ourselves full in Leslie’s, we didn’t forget to check in at one of the very best places in the city.

Bag of Beans is one of the must-visit places in Tagaytay City. This convenient place has been offering best food and coffee for years. The place is very cozy and the staffs are very pleasant and approachable. When it comes to food, it’s totally droolworthy. πŸ˜‹

We took the chance to dine in at the balcony side of the place overlooking the beautiful Taal lake and volcano and I am so elated that we were able to enjoy our food while we embrace the tranquil ambience of the city.

It was, by far, the best dine in experience I have ever had outside the metro. Check out the food we ordered and the menu:

I asked for their Buttermilk Pancakes.

My two other guys had their tastiest Blueberry Pancakes and Chocolate Chips Pancakes. 😍

And one of my buddies just couldn’t stop his craving for burgers! He had his flavorful Double Decker Burger. πŸ˜‚

Of course, not to forget, we ordered their Cookies and Cream beverage and Coffee Choco Banana Frost for our dessert.

Check out the prices below.

Everything is worth the price and wait as the food is truly delicious. I am pretty sure you’re already planning your visit in this aesthetic place. The branch we visited is located at 115 Aguinaldo Highway, Tagaytay Rotonda, Tagaytay City, Cavite.

Stop Over: Pink Haus – Luna Snack

I am a bit thrilled to experience this one of the best tea places in the metro. It isn’t only because of the proximity, but because of its theme – PINK! ☺️

It is my second time to dine in at Pink Haus – Luna Snack in Malabon. I guess their tea station says it all. They offer great snacks and has wide variety of milk teas to choose from. They also have this unique pink ambience to make you feel like pink is the only color that exists. πŸ˜‚

A few months back, I have tried their Creamy Carbonara. I’ve felt that it could be my last time to explore other white sauce on a pasta. ❀️ Honestly, their pasta is very creamy and delicious. It is well cooked and served. You can try it for only 90 PHP – very affordable. And that very moment, I’ve tried and have paired it with their Butterscotch Milk Tea. My friends know that I don’t have the love for tea, but that one was intense. I did not expect the sweetness and refreshing kick of it.

Since I enjoyed their snack, I gave another try yesterday and it was late afternoon. I had their Tuna Sandwich, for 40 PHP and since Butterscotch wasn’t available, I ordered their Caramel Milk Tea which is around 70 PHP.

While waiting, I was able to capture some interiors of the store. Because their couches were jampacked, I only got to shoot the other side.

The Concepcion’s pink store is air-conditioned and they have a free Wi-Fi access while you patiently wait. The store isn’t that big as compare to Serenitea and other famous tea stations, but you’ll still be comfy and relaxed. They also play in-demand and newly released songs to match the good vibe you get inside.

After almost 15 minutes, they served my order. Well, I enjoyed everything. Their Tuna sandwich is really good, but I guess it’s better if they toast the sandwich more and add extra veggies. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹ I also like their Caramel Milk Tea. It is totally invigorating, though I still love their Butterscotch more.

I suggest they change their menu board to from using white board and markers to black boards and chalks. I think it would really compliment the energy of the store’s theme. 😊 Nevertheless, this is still a great spot to snack and stay in.

By the way, the store also offers pasta and rice meals, and that is something I need to look forward to. ☺️ (PS: I still wonder who the owner is.) πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‹

Pink Haus – Luna Snack is located at 288 Gen. Luna St., Concepcion, Malabon City.

Food Quest: Petron Service Station (NLEX)

Do you know the best place to chill, eat and relax along expressway in North? I just found the best one for you.

Whenever I visit my sib and friends in Bulacan, I take NLEX and I never fail to stare at the Petron Service Station. The tranquil location and the feeling of being surrounded by cars are just a few reasons why I want to experience this place. And I wonder how to get there without taking NLEX or what if you do not own a privy car, can you still get there? ☺️

Petron Service Station along NLEX near Marilao Exit is not just your obliging gas station, this place is truly a good stopover. It has several famous foodchains, coffee shops and restaurants you might want to dine in at and loosen up, not to mention the experience of eating while checking out some luxurious and fancy cars zooming along NLEX. Even if you don’t have a car, you can still visit the place. ❀️

Well, your guess is as good as mine. For the ladsΒ who want to experience this kind of food adventure, we have explored and have written down the directions going there should you plan to commute via public vehicles:

Course ONE

  1. From Monumento, look for the jeepney terminal beside Victory Mall and look for the ones that have SM Marilao (NLEX) route. And if you’re near Quezon Avenue, you can take the UV Express located at Eton Centris going to Malolos and Marilao.
  2. You can tell the driver to drop you at the Petron Service Station.

Course TWO

  1. If you’re too adventurous, you can take the jeepney from Monumento and alight at SM Marilao. This time, you’ll be taking McArthur Highway.
  2. Look for the tricycle terminal beside SM Marilao and ask the driver to take you to Petron NLEX at De Vera Compound.

So you are now familiar on how to get there, but how about going back to the concrete jungle? They have a stairway which was appararently designed for the employees who’re working within the area and for the ones who want to dine in:

  1. Use the stairway beside the mini foodcourtΒ until you reach the mini parking lot behind the abovementioned station.
  2. Hail a tricyle or look for the tricycle terminal and ask the driver to take you to SM Marilao.
  3. Once you’re there, you can take the UV Express going to MRT – North Avenue Station. The UV Express terminal isΒ locatedΒ in front of the mall, parking lot area.
  4. You can also ride a jeepney along McArthur Highway. This will take you to the other towns of Bulacan (North Bound) or Monumento (South Bound).

You already have the directions, now let me give you the list of the stores open in Petron Service Station:

  • Jollibee (with Drive Thru)

The station has ATM booths should you need to withdraw. And if nature calls you, you can use their tidy and air-conditioned restrooms absolutely free.

If the management can come up with more innovative ideas or maybe put up a small units for clothing lines and shoe salons, then this can be as perfect as Shell of Asia. ☺️

Stop Over: Zoey’s Burgers – Pasta – Sandwich

I never had that love for burgers, but this one caught my attention.

Our family went to the most popular burger house in Concepcion, Malabon City. It was around afternoon and we decided to try their cheesiest burgers! We went to Zoey’s and ordered the Zoey’s So Cheeezzy and Cheese Steak. It took us less than 20 minutes waiting for the food. Whew! It was really worth the wait. ☺️

The photo says it all! Had the Zoey’s So Cheeezzy! for 155 PHP only and 140 PHP for the Cheese Steak. It was so yummy. The taste of the mornay sauce was just right, and overall, it was really good! I swear! And we asked for more! They just asked us to try the Fish and Chips. I was too curious with the taste and how it really looks like. Well anyway, after almost 10 minutes, here it was!

The ranch dressing was totally flavorful and absolutely tasty, and that’s why we could not resist dipping our fingers into it. LOL πŸ˜‚ Had this good appetizer for 120 PHP only! If you ask for extra dip or sauce, it’s an extra 20 PHP. It was such a good experience. I think Maginhawa Street just found their competitor here in Malabon. I will get back to this and taste for more food! ☺️

Zoey’s Burgers – Pasta – Sandwich is located at #5 Unit 1 Virginia Bldg, General Luna St., Concepcion, Malabon City.
