Food Quest: Petron Service Station (NLEX)

Do you know the best place to chill, eat and relax along expressway in North? I just found the best one for you.

Whenever I visit my sib and friends in Bulacan, I take NLEX and I never fail to stare at the Petron Service Station. The tranquil location and the feeling of being surrounded by cars are just a few reasons why I want to experience this place. And I wonder how to get there without taking NLEX or what if you do not own a privy car, can you still get there? ☺️

Petron Service Station along NLEX near Marilao Exit is not just your obliging gas station, this place is truly a good stopover. It has several famous foodchains, coffee shops and restaurants you might want to dine in at and loosen up, not to mention the experience of eating while checking out some luxurious and fancy cars zooming along NLEX. Even if you don’t have a car, you can still visit the place. ❤️

Well, your guess is as good as mine. For the lads who want to experience this kind of food adventure, we have explored and have written down the directions going there should you plan to commute via public vehicles:

Course ONE

  1. From Monumento, look for the jeepney terminal beside Victory Mall and look for the ones that have SM Marilao (NLEX) route. And if you’re near Quezon Avenue, you can take the UV Express located at Eton Centris going to Malolos and Marilao.
  2. You can tell the driver to drop you at the Petron Service Station.

Course TWO

  1. If you’re too adventurous, you can take the jeepney from Monumento and alight at SM Marilao. This time, you’ll be taking McArthur Highway.
  2. Look for the tricycle terminal beside SM Marilao and ask the driver to take you to Petron NLEX at De Vera Compound.

So you are now familiar on how to get there, but how about going back to the concrete jungle? They have a stairway which was appararently designed for the employees who’re working within the area and for the ones who want to dine in:

  1. Use the stairway beside the mini foodcourt until you reach the mini parking lot behind the abovementioned station.
  2. Hail a tricyle or look for the tricycle terminal and ask the driver to take you to SM Marilao.
  3. Once you’re there, you can take the UV Express going to MRT – North Avenue Station. The UV Express terminal is located in front of the mall, parking lot area.
  4. You can also ride a jeepney along McArthur Highway. This will take you to the other towns of Bulacan (North Bound) or Monumento (South Bound).

You already have the directions, now let me give you the list of the stores open in Petron Service Station:

  • Jollibee (with Drive Thru)
  • Kenny Rogers
  • Teriyaki Boy
  • Pancake House
  • Chowking
  • Starbucks (with Drive Thru)
  • Army Navy
  • Café France
  • Shakey’s
  • Max’s Restaurant
  • Hap Chan
  • Serenitea
  • Army Navy
  • Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf
  • Serenitea
  • Tapa King
  • KFC (with Drive Thru)
  • Krispy Kreme (with Drive Thru)

Unfortunately, not all foodshops are open 24 by 7. You won’t get to kill your time overnight in Starbucks and CBTL as those two shops are only open until 12 to 1AM, but you can still have your coffee break in Krispy Kreme or have your midnight snack in KFC. 😤

The station has ATM booths should you need to withdraw. And if nature calls you, you can use their tidy and air-conditioned restrooms absolutely free.

If the management can come up with more innovative ideas or maybe put up a small units for clothing lines and shoe salons, then this can be as perfect as Shell of Asia. ☺️

I have been looking for an alternative way to get there via motorcycle. Thank you so much! I can finally have a decent variety of midnight snacks nearby. 😀
